Journey Awards recipients to be honored virtually in July
With the focus of health and safety for all honorees and attendees, AAF-KC has decided to cancel the in-person 2020 Journey Awards celebration. All award recipients will instead be honored in a virtual celebration during the week of July 12 across all AAF-KC digital channels.
“We want to ensure everyone is able to celebrate safely,” said AAF-KC VP of Events Hannah Bower. “While we cannot wait to see everyone’s faces again soon, we want everyone to feel very comfortable when AAF-KC hosts its next large-scale event.”
The 2020 Journey Awards honor five visionaries leading Kansas City advertising. A Creative Professional, an Ad Professional, a Trailblazer, a Young Professional, and a Silver Medal Award Winner.
Meet this year’s outstanding honorees:
- Silver Medal Award: the late Tom Hansen
- Advertising Professional of the Year: Ali Mahaffy of Signal Theory
- Trailblazer: Roy Milton of VMLY&R
- Creative Professional of the Year: Brian Brooker of Garmin
- Young Professional of the Year: Kasi Yalon of Signal Theory
Join us the week of July 12 to celebrate our Kansas City visionaries virtually at the 2020 Journey Awards. Keep your eyes on our social channels.
