Posted on Mar. 23, 2020  /  American Advertising Awards  /

Congratulations 2020 AAF District 9 American Advertising Award Winners

The 2020 AAF District 9 American Advertising Awards winners were selected in Omaha this year. Three judges from Minnesota, Florida, and Tennessee viewed all the forwarded local award winners and selected the cream of the crop.

A total of 72 professional winners were selected, along with 22 student winners. All gold award winners will automatically be forwarded to the AAF National awards competition, while silver award winners may be forwarded at the direction of the winning creatives.

Kansas City agencies Barkley, Signal Theory, Tasty, and Whiskey Design all won gold at this year’s district competition. Signal Theory also won Best of Show, Best of Interactive, and Judge’s Citation. Whiskey Design won Best of Design.

In addition, three of our student winners — Grace Corley, Niloufar Salimi, and Jon Kowing — won gold at district. Jon Kowing also won the Best of Show student award.

If you are an AAF District 9 Silver award winner, please go into Open Water to forward your work for national judging. The deadline for forwarding is April 13, 2020.

Trophies and certificates will be ordered in the coming weeks and shipped to each club. If you're thinking about attending the AAF ADMERICA National Conference in June where the National American Advertising Award show will be held, check out conference details on the AAF website.

Congratulations, again, to all who entered and the many who won.
