We couldn't be more thrilled to announce the hiring of our new director for AAF-KC, Katie Daily. With prior experience in political campaign management and currently working at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, we look forward to Katie bringing her unique skills to bear on our ongoing efforts to serve the Kansas City advertising and marketing community. Here's a little more about Katie...

Katie Daily, a creativity and caffeine enthusiast, specializes in communications and program development. Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, Katie celebrated her Irish heritage and became a championship Irish Dancer before heading to college. Katie graduated from Drury University in Springfield, MO with a B.A. in Public Relations and Politics and Government and earned a minor in Global Studies.

After studying abroad in London, UK, and being introduced to a global network, Katie decided Kansas City is the place for her after all. Following graduation, Katie worked on multiple political campaigns specializing in fundraising and communications for 2 years before accepting a position at The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce working in small business and entrepreneurship programming. Since then she has learned the value of big ideas, a great team and valuable relationships.

Katie has become a well-respected colleague and friend to many in the Kansas City business community through her work in and outside the office. She now lives in Westport and enjoys painting, new adventures and the occasional happy hour.

Many thanks to our Director Search Committee, led by AAF-KC immediate past president Kevin Fullerton and consisting of Ad 2 and Art+Copy Club immediate past presidents Aaron Cathey and Misty Stocksdale, AAF board member Kyle Rohde, and agency senior leaders Ali Mahaffy (SHS) and Beth Wade (VML). Further thanks to our interim assistant for the past two months, Missy Callahan, as well as to our friends at LandaJob for introducing her to us.

Katie's first official day with AAF-KC will be on Thursday, July 26th, just in time for her first board meeting that night and the District 9 Leadership Conference this coming Saturday. Please join us in giving her a warm AAF-KC welcome to the club!
