The CHILLYs: Meet the Chefs, Part Three
January 5, 2012
Posted by John Kreicbergs
Good chili is easy to make. Great chili is a little tougher. But award-winning chili is an achievement only few can lay claim to. Let’s see who makes the best chili in the KC ad community, at the CHILLYs. Fifteen contestants will fight bowl to spoon to win the most coveted prize next to an ADDY.
From now until January 26th, we're going to be profiling a few of our fiery fifteen every week. We've already introduced you to No Gas Shortage, Chili to Dyerson For, and Brookside's Best. Last week you also met El Rayo Rojo, 104West 44North, and Chili Con Chelsea. Time to meet our next three contestants. Read on...

Team Name: Chili Bean is not my Lover
One day I found an old coke bottle under a rock while walking the Texas/Mexico border. Inside it was a rolled-up paper containing a chili recipe, and this link: bit.ly/chilibean. I visited the url and found that this chili recipe was no ordinary recipe. It was MJ's chili recipe.

Team Name: The Lurking Intern
As an intern at AAF-KC, I sort of got suckered into this contest. And doggonit, I'm going to give it my all. Interns are capable of making a difference too, you know. I've put a spin on my mother's classic recipe, which is probably for the best, because she never measures anything. A fresh perspective. Out with the old, in with the new. A changing of the guard, if you will. [Insert another cliche here.] The process may not be the prettiest, but the product sure is. Tastebuds will be pleasantly surprised to grab hold of a familiar favorite that is pumped full of intern zest. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Team Name: The Pope of Chilitown
Like the Pope, this chili interprets God's will here on earth. Enough said.
