Call for 2012 Career Day Speakers
September 27, 2012
Posted by Stefan Mumaw

The annual AAF-KC Career Day is coming up on Monday, November 12, and we would encourage anyone interested to contact us about participating as a speaker. Last year was a big success and we’re hoping to hit the repeat button.
The event will once again be hosted at the historic Union Station and we will be offering three specific tracks for attendees to follow - creative, account service and undecided. Within each of these tracks, there will be sessions on emerging technologies, work culture and other real- world info that job seekers need to know. We also will hold a Career Fair along with resume and portfolio reviews from noon-2p.m., to increase attendee exposure to companies in Kansas City and give them feedback on their work.
Every year, we have approximately 300 attendees consisting of students, transitioning professionals and young professionals, and we expect that this year will be no different. Speakers present with two other panelists and have a room moderator to assist with Q&A and timekeeping. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
If you would like to participate, please let us know by Friday, October 5, by emailing me at director@aafkc.com. From there, once we determine the total membership interest level, we will let you know if we could use your help and provide the time and topic you’ll be able to help present.
On behalf of AAF-KC, we would like to thank you for your interest and support of the club, and hope to hear back from you soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact AAF-KC at 816-822-0300 or director@aafkc.com.
