ad2 Pulls Covers Off New Sleepyhead Beds Logo
ad2’s Virtual Agency announces the first major step in taking on the Sleepyhead Beds campaign: redesign of the original Sleepyhead Beds logo. The goal in designing a new look was to create a simpler, sophisticated design yet retain the youthful feel. ad2s virtual agency created a number of logos, but the winning strategic design was chosen by the team in part because it conjures up dreams with the nursery rhyme image of the winged cow and symbolizes a bed with the headboard outline.
“I believe there is value in communicating that Sleepyhead Beds allows children to dream. The nursery rhyme-imaged cow touches on this, and Monica mentioned that it pulls at heartstrings of donors with memories of their own bedtimes, which is very important for fundraising.”
The new logo, designed by Ashley McCarter, earned approval just in time to be featured on the “Give the Gift of Dreams” adopt-a-child program. Other elements have been created with the help of designer Kenzie Miljavacto attract shoppers at designated stores to purchase bedding/pillows for a child in need and educate shoppers about Sleepyhead Beds organization & outreach. These elements include custom ornaments, posters, thank you cards, envelopes, email design and web graphics for social outlets.
