Ad 2 Presents Insanely Simple: A Night with Ken Segall

October 3, 2012

Posted by Stefan Mumaw

Come to Ron Berg Studio and spend an evening with the former Apple ad man and New York Times bestselling author, Ken Segall. Ken worked closely with Steve Jobs, serving as his ad agency creative director for both NeXT and Apple. Ken and his team were responsible for Apple’s legendary "Think different" campaign and for naming the iMac.

Simplicity is the most powerful force in business. To most people, it’s obvious why Apple has become a global phenomenon: it makes amazing things amazingly simple. What’s less obvious is the reason why Apple is so good at it. Thanks to Steve Jobs’ obsession, simplicity is the guideline for everything Apple does: innovating, organizing, selling and communicating. Ken will share his passion for keeping things simple, his experience with Apple, and explain how the principles of simplicity can be embraced by anyone to achieve remarkable things.

Ken will also be doing a book signing of his New York Times best seller, Insanely Simple, after the event.

You can get a copy of the book WITH your registration! Register here for the event + the book.

About Ken Segall

Ken Segall worked closely with Steve Jobs as his ad agency creative director for over 12 years spanning NeXT and Apple. At TBWA\Chiat\Day, he was a member of the team that created Apple's iconic "Think different" campaign; he started Apple down the i-way by naming the iMac; and he co-wrote the first commercial ever to win an Emmy. Having served in a similar role with agencies for Dell, Intel and IBM, Ken is in a unique position to describe how Apple's love of simplicity sets it apart from other global technology companies. That’s just what he’s done in his New York Times Best Seller, Insanely Simple. Ken's most recent creative work includes the Ellen DeGeneres campaign for JCPenney that debuted on this year's Oscars. He blogs about technology and marketing at kensegall.com, and has fun with it all at his Apple satire site, scoopertino.com.
